Cards Against Humanity PAX Prime 2014
What's all that traffic in downtown Seattle about this weekend? Some might blame it on labor day weekend or PAX Prime. Whatever the reason, we recommend that you skip the traffic and walk on over to the ACT Theater to check out the Cards Against Humanity pop up store.
Cards is setting up shop at ACT for the entire Labor Day weekend for PAX Prime, and the shop is open to the public!
Cards Against Humanity wanted to do something a little bit outside the box for their exhibit at PAX Prime this year. They wanted a pop up shop outside the normal confines of the convention. The ACT Theater proved to be the perfect location for the shop - attached to the convention center, but with a remote and exclusive feeling entrance.
Guests enter through a portal-like doorway, tucked in a back corner of the convention center. They then embark on a journey through the depths of the theater's back hallways. They are guided through the space with hallways lined in black satin and mysterious glowing lights. This is a really long hallway.
After a seemingly endless walk, guests arrive in a sunlit lobby where a gigantic mural of the Hindenburg disaster gives the space a snarky edge. Follow the edges of the Hindenburg mural downstairs to the party happening in the pop up store. Here, you can grab swag, pick up a new game or expansion pack, get your stuff signed, and get a custom card written just for you by one of the Game's creators.
,br />The exit to the store talks guests by the print shop where all of the custom cards are made on the spot. Once you grab your card you can head out the door to enjoy the rest of PAX.
