Red Lion 5th Ave Seattle Wedding Reception

A few weeks back we helped our friends The Red Lion Hotel 5th Ave Seattle shoot a wedding look-book for their newly renovated ballrooms. Both the Emerald & Seattle ballrooms have beautiful BOLD new carpets that are joy to work with. It's no secrete that we love "over-the-top" decor, so the Red Lion was a great canvas!

The reception diner was shot in the Emerald Ballroom. We dressed the space in teal crush linens topped with lush purple bouquets on silver candle sticks & towers. A sweetheart table was set with our iconic moon chairs which were also used in the ceremony space.

We set a reception lounge in the Seattle Ballroom with all white furniture and glowing accents to compliment the carpet. We even designed a swing (our favorite!) for the lounge!

Here are some of the first images emerging from the photo-shoot. We might be biased, but we think the photos are enchanting! We'll post the magical ceremony photos soon!

A few bites of Seattle

Here's a Seattle themed reception that was accomplished with a few target areas that also corresponded with the cuisine of the night. The event revolved around a central bar featuring our Space Needle replica (rising 16' in the air!) with two Glowbars lit in red to match the client's branding. An extensive Pike Place Markets display could be found to the right showcasing Seattle's bountiful harvest.

Three vignettes were set on 60" rounds with serpentine tables branching out for buffets. One represented Seattle nautical Seafood scene with pier pilings, fishing nets, real crab-pots, glass floats, and nautical paraphernalia. Another represented Seattle's International District with a real Chinese tiger costume and striking red linens. The third serpentine display was for a butcher themed station. Decor hadn't been planned for it, but once the rest of the room started shaping up, it started to look awfully naked. Our clever team made faux meat packages & used extra crates, barrels, and linens to dress the buffet beautifully in a pinch.

Moroccan on a Budget

Here's a smaller Moroccan inspired event on a budget. Vivid lighting was a key element along with two other signature pieces; an elegant striped canopy cascading over the room, and mini embellished umbrella centerpieces. Event design doesn't have to be complicated to be magical and eye-catching.

LeMay Grand Opening!

Last week we had the pleasure of decorating the preview gala for LeMay - America's Car Museum's grand opening! It was none other than a Great Gatsby theme with a 1920's dress code. We went art deco and did an opulent column entry that continued into the grand gallery with lush live palms. The dinning area was inspired by a vintage chrome color pallet with a mix of charcoal crush & silver organza linens. Centerpieces were a combination of diamond champagne over-sized martini glasses & 38" flute vases topped with black and white ostrich feathers. Classic mahogany bars were mixed in-between the classic cars - which were of course the best decor of all. Even Tonight Show host Jay Leno made an appearance at the event!
