Northwest Event Show 2014

Our second trade show of the weekend was banquetevent.com's Northwest Event Show! This is the 12th year in a row we've been at this show, wow! We continued the Versailles theme with a two sided booth showcasing our new opulent soft seating, and our fabulous new wooden glow bar! This beautiful bar folds flat to fit though any tricky venue hall. We also created an Urban Garden attendee lounge with our grass benches, and a lush entry canopy!

We added two new drapery colors to our inventory recently! An opulent jewel toned Emerald Green satin, and a warm and delicate Champagne satin! See the rest of our colors here!

Light Box Centerpieces

Living in the Pacific Northwest, we certainly see our fair share of art glass, it's everywhere! Not to mention Tacoma born Dale Chihuly. So naturally many auctions, fundraisers, and social events use art glass as centerpieces.

While glass centerpieces are beautiful, the common complaint is that they disappear on tables in event lighting. The vibrant colors are muted, and the pieces are forgotten about.

New Trend: Metallic! New Linens

We are all about metallics this year! We think that disco parties will be in high demand. One of our favorite holiday parties coming up is called, "Make new friends but keep the old, one is SILVER & the other GOLD!" The reception will be decorated floor to ceiling in metallic gold, followed by a reveal into the main ballroom which will be draped and decorated all in silver holographic. We can hardly wait to see it. There will be photos to share later!

To gear up for the coming year, we have FOUR new linens in our inventory! PJ Hummel & Company is the first in the area to have 90"x90" Sequined Crochet linens (and they are divine!).

Get Hitched Give Hope 2011

We partnered with Get Hitched Give Hope this year to make the event extra flashy with a touch of PJ for a good cause. GHGH is a organization that raises money for carefully chosen charities,throwing a yearly event where brides can shop for wedding services and products.

This year we debuted our over sized birdcages with crystal chandeliers inside, they were stunning entry pieces. We draped the main entrance, created a lovely stage treatment with a satin canopy - diamond bead drape and wrought iron branches, and let florists go nuts with out 14' tall metal trees. PJ Hummel & Company showcased more in a side room with out glow bars and favorite furniture pieces.

The event was a great success for the organization, and we wish them well!

New Décor section on our Website!

Hello Décor!

We have been working hard this past month to write and create our new Décor section for our website. The time has come & it’s now officially launched! We want this to be a tool for our future and current clients to get a better feel for what PJ Hummel & Company is capable of providing. We broke the new Décor section into 9 categories that elaborate further on our décor services and added over 50 new pictures! You will now find in the Décor section – pages for: Furniture & Accessories, Pipe & Drape, Linens & Chair-covers, Thematic Props, Ceiling Treatments, Centerpieces & Floral, Floor Treatments, Lighting & Special Effects, and an Overview page so you don’t get lost!

A Golden Auction

PJ Hummel & Company has added a new color to our extensive drape collection, GOLD SATIN!

We know, why didn't we have this before?! Gold is PJ's personal favorite, and our company is known for our distinctive touches of it. Nevertheless, now it is here in full force, and it is beautiful!

This event was an auction for Tacoma's Annie Wright School, their Gator Gala!
The colors were bronze, black & GOLD! We worked our event magic to the T, transforming their sports gym into a captivating soirée!

The entrance was completely draped in gold satin and sheer bronze. The main ballroom was striped floor to ceiling in black and gold satin. We created a 12' wide by 15' long capiz shell chandelier, that was up-lit & glowed in the room. And the outside entrance was well-lit and romantic with stands of globe piazza style lights strung overhead on our new rust topiaries.

PJ Hummel has reinvented the "draped" wall! Introducing our new mesh pillow paneling system!

This techy and industrial looking 1.5’X1.5’ paneling system can be linked
together with metal grommets in any height and width dimension desired. We think
it's a cool & versatile way to design a modern space.

Our team custom designed & made these in-house, so you'll only find them at PJ Hummel & Company. We already know they're a big hit and show stopper as they made there debut this month in Austin, Texas at the SXSW Trade Show!

South Sound Wedding and Event Magazine

It's finally here, the newest South Sound Wedding and Event Magazine!
We are so excited for this. They shot the COVER & a beautiful wedding dress spread in our warehouse with our decor. We also have one of our weddings featured! (blog post to follow!)

Holidays Around the World!

Diwali, Cinco de Mayo, Lunar New Year, & Mardi Gras, to name a few for this event!
This was a big one, and i think we came out on top. :)
We premiered our new "Berry Pink," "Golden Yellow," & Orange satin drapes, paired with pieces from our extensive already existing collection of everything else. PJ Hummel can create anywhere you think up!
